Prerequisites

Before you start rolling, you'll need a few things set up.

What You Need

1. A Solana Wallet

Boulder Roller runs on Solana. You'll need a wallet to:

  • Receive your verified patterns

  • Earn and hold DUNG tokens

  • Stake CAL (if you have it)

Recommended wallets:

Feature-rich, hardware wallet support

Modern, xNFT support

If you're new to Solana, Phantom is the easiest starting point.

2. A Small Amount of SOL

Solana transactions require tiny fees (fractions of a cent). You'll need a small amount of SOL in your wallet for:

  • Submitting proofs of effort

  • Claiming rewards

  • Staking operations

How much? 0.1 SOL is more than enough for hundreds of transactions.

Where to get SOL:

  • Transfer from an exchange (Coinbase, Kraken, etc.)

  • Use a fiat on-ramp in your wallet

  • Ask a friend to send you some

3. Ride Data

You need cycling activity data to upload. Boulder Roller accepts:

Source
Method

Strava

OAuth sync (automatic)

Garmin Connect

OAuth sync (automatic)

FIT files

Direct upload

GPX files

Direct upload

Minimum requirements:

  • GPS track with timestamps

  • At least one qualifying effort (climb, sustained power, etc.)

Optional but helpful:

  • Power meter data (enables power patterns)

  • Heart rate data (future features)
