Effort Records (Pre-alpha)
Pre-alpha notice
Effort records are stored off-chain today. On-chain attestations are planned for a later launch.
The Core Idea
When you climb a hill, you produce data that can only exist if you actually climbed it. GPS coordinates change in sequence, timestamps progress, elevation increases. That signature proves you did the work.
We process that signature into a standardized effort record. The long-term plan is to attest these records on-chain so they are permanent and verifiable outside our systems.
What Gets Verified
An effort record includes:
- Climb pattern ID
- Account or wallet identifier
- Timestamp and duration
- Effort hash derived from your ride data
We avoid storing full GPS tracks after processing to protect privacy.
The Verification Process (Pre-alpha)
- Extract GPS, elevation, and optional power data
- Match the ride against a climb pattern definition
- Generate a deterministic effort hash
- Store the effort record and award points
Planned On-chain Attestations
Post-launch, effort records are planned to be attested on-chain. This would allow:
- Portable ownership of your achievements
- Trustless verification by third parties
- Composable integrations across apps
Details will be published before launch.
Privacy
We store:
- Pattern ID
- Timestamp and duration
- Effort hash
We do not store:
- Full GPS tracks
- Your full ride files
- Sensitive personal data
Next Steps
- Understand climb patterns
- Learn about tokens (planned)
- Get started with your first roll
